calm + comprehensive coverage

Feeling nervous? I’ll maintain a peaceful, reassuring presence that will put you at ease at every point throughout the day. We’ll begin by photographing candids, and I’ll step in as necessary to offer direction and keep things flowing. Wedding party wrangling and efficient formal portraits are always included!

my promises to you

After the flowers have wilted and the cake has been enjoyed down to the last crumb, your photographs are what you have left to remember your wedding day. And there’s nothing I want more than for you to remember your wedding beautifully. So before we get into the details of how all of this works, here are a few promises from me to you:

**I promise to treat you with kindness at every turn. I’m here to help relieve, rather than add to, the stress of wedding planning. We're not in a rush, and we'll go at your pace.

**I promise to prioritize your connection and showcase it with natural poses. The kind that are so easy and effortless, you won’t even notice you’re being “posed” at all.

**I promise to tell the truth. We don't need to fake anything for a photo, we don't need to pretend. When you allow yourself to be in the moment and feel your feelings, that's when the real magic happens.

Think it’s impossible to turn feelings of awkwardness into fine art moments?
Hold my camera.
Then hand it back, and let me show you how incredible you look.

I’ve photographed over 225+ weddings in locations ranging from all over California to Maine, Hawaii to Mexico, and guess what? To my knowledge, none of my couples have ever walked a runway... You don’t have to be a professional model to walk away from your wedding day with images that are as stunning as they are significant.

Bring me your camera-shyness, your feelings of awkwardness, and every last question and concern of the “What in the world do I do with my hands?” variety. Using an artistic eye, dynamic photo direction, and the timeless medium of film photography, I’ll create fine art images you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Wedding photography for people who aren’t models

But still want to look really, really, ridiculously good looking

a groom sitting in a chair with a loose tie at the end of his wedding day, looking at his bride who is behind him with her arms on his shoulders at a backyard wedding in encinitas
a groom holds his blue suit jacket over his shoulder as he sits in a chair, looking at his bride who is wearing a form fitting lace dress, dancing around him
a candid film photo showing the bride looking at her groom smiling, while he has his jacket over his shoulder, his floral tie loose, just looking forward
a candid image of a bride and groom kissing at night on a flash film photo
a nighttime portrait of a bride and groom casually walking away from the wedding photographer, its a flash image and the bride's lace dress has a pretty cutout, and the groom has his suit jacket over his shoulder

If your people are travelling from all over, or they're all mostly local, togetherness doesn't stop once the music does. The wedding day moves by so fast that in years past, many couples complained about not getting to spend time with the people they invited.

Nowadays, more often than not, we spend a few extra days casually covering all the events around the wedding itself. Welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, planned (or unplanned) nature excursions, even staying at the group rental and getting ready together.

No two weddings are the same, so I stopped trying to fit every wedding into pre-packaged options. I create a custom tailored experience for every couple. A big holiday wedding looks very different from a summer dinner party, and my pricing reflects the difference in effort required, not how many photos we can squeeze into 8 hours. Albums, coverage of the rehearsal dinner or other welcome events, travel required, engagement session, all factor in to the final price.
